And as soon as I figured out how to show off ripping a few tricks, I really started to like it. JONATHAN SAYS: This one didn't do much for me the first couple of times around, but once I got into the two-player mode I started to like it. And, if you're racing against other humans rather than a computer, they're all making the same mistakes you are. Somehow, when the track is smaller, it's a little easier to control your bike. Two players can go head-to-head on a split screen, and three or four can race on a quartered screen. Nintendo is famous for its multiplayer action games, and here's another one that doesn't disappoint.
Easier to jump into is the multiplayer mode. You'll find yourself bouncing off walls and sliding off tracks for quite a while until you get the hang of the controls. The single player mode is fun, but it's difficult to master. There are tons of secrets and new levels you can earn (we've included what we know so far in the tips and tricks section below). And we'd be willing to bet that there are others hidden in here somewhere.
You can choose from six riders, each with a unique style. If you don't like any of those, there's a track editor that'll let you create your own courses. The outdoor tracks have every obstacle you can imagine, including snow. The stadium tracks are fun, tightly coiled with lots of jumps and bumps.
